Summary

Curana Health is seeking a Physician Consultant to serve as a voting member of the Joint Credentials Committee. This role is essential to maintaining quorum and ensuring timely credentialing decisions when assigned Medical Directors are unavailable due to scheduling conflicts or extended leave.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly Credentials Committee meetings as a voting member.
  • Review and vote on credentialing files to support quorum requirements.
  • Serve as a backup to Medical Directors who are unable to attend scheduled meetings.
  • Collaborate with committee members to ensure continuity and compliance in credentialing operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold standards of professional conduct in all credentialing activities.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with active, unrestricted license.
  • Experience in credentialing, peer review, or medical committee participation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to commit to monthly meeting attendance and respond flexibly to scheduling needs.
