Summary

Our physicians play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, proactive, and coordinated healthcare to older adults across senior living communities.

If you've spent time in traditional practice, you know the frustration: rigid environments, administrative overload, and a model that can feel more like checkbox medicine than real patient care. Curana is built differently. Our model gives physicians meaningful control over how they structure their time and manage their patients, with far less of the operational friction that defines most practices. Our physicians consistently say this is the best job they've ever had, and it's a model designed to keep it that way.

This is more than a job. It's an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the health, dignity, and happiness of a vulnerable population, while growing your career with a mission-driven organization that's actually built to support you.

Full-Time or Part-Time Schedules Available

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome new residents with thorough assessments and build lasting relationships as their dedicated primary physician, while maintaining continuity of care for your established patient panel.
  • Deliver comprehensive care across the full spectrum, including chronic disease management, preventive services, and acute needs, with the clinical judgment and time to do it right.
  • Round regularly to stay connected with your patients, catching changes early and keeping care proactive rather than reactive.
  • Collaborate closely with facility staff, families, and care teams to build personalized care plans that reflect each resident's goals and what matters most to them.
  • Guide residents and families through health decisions, preventive care, and available resources, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.
  • Keep documentation accurate and timely in the EMR, and uphold Curana's standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts, using data and performance insights to keep raising the bar on care delivery.

What Makes Curana Different

Flexibility that actually works. Curana is built to give physicians more control over how they structure their time. Our model is designed to reduce the operational friction that makes traditional practice feel rigid, so you can focus on patients without sacrificing your personal life. Physicians consistently tell us this flexibility is one of the biggest reasons they stay.

True clinical autonomy. You have meaningful control over how you round, how you manage patient flow, and how you structure your day. Less protocol-driven overhead, more room for real clinical judgment. It's a model built around how good physicians actually work.

Meaningful, complex work. Geriatric care is some of the most intellectually demanding and personally rewarding work in medicine. You're not treating a single condition, you're caring for the whole person, often navigating complexity that requires real clinical judgment. Physicians who are drawn to this specialty find it deeply fulfilling.

Infrastructure that supports you. Curana provides structured onboarding, ongoing training, and support teams that are actually responsive. You'll get help with charting, adapting to value-based care models, and everything else that typically slows physicians down. You have the autonomy of private practice without the isolation.

Data-driven tools built for your patients. AI-powered insights, smart communication platforms, and modern EMR integrations help you understand and manage your patient population more effectively, so you can focus on care, not catching up.
